The Building an Industry Infinity Supply Chain $10 million grant provided by the U.S. Department of Labor supported four more years of robotics and automation training and the Michigan Alliance for Greater Mobility Advancement collaborative from 2021-2025. The Southeast Michigan regional program promoted cybersecurity training, hosted a transportation collaborative with MDOT, and delivered transportation, robotic, information technology, clean energy and cybersecurity related training programs. The use of innovative training strategies and training delivery methods upskilled individuals in the region to succeed in middle- and high-skilled occupations.Training models included a broad range of classroom and on-the-job training, customized training, incumbent worker training, Registered Apprenticeship Programs and Industry-Recognized Apprenticeship Programs.

The $10 million grant to invest in workforce training from the U.S. Department of Labor was a portion of a larger $145 million award to workforce programs nationwide.
