The Workforce Intelligence Network (WIN) for Southeast Michigan mission is to help cultivate a cohesive talent system by facilitating data-driven workforce solutions to ensure responsiveness to changing labor market demands.

The U.S. Department of Labor has recognized WIN as one of the top workforce collaboratives in the nation. 
WIN specializes in fostering collaboration among talent partners, including workforce development, community colleges, four-year post-secondary institutions, K-12 schools, economic development organizations, government, community based organizations, employers, and others.

A DIVISION OF SEMCA

WIN is a division of the Southeast Michigan Community Alliance (SEMCA Michigan Works!). SEMCA serves as WIN's primary fiscal and hiring agent. Please direct all employment verification requests to SEMCA.

Each year, the WIN team strives to bring training funds and opportunities to the Southeast Michigan region. With seasoned professionals from academia and the workforce system, significant progress is made in the complex grant strategies. WIN also provided affordable labor market intelligence through data projects, presentations, and consulting opportunities.

EMPLOYER LED-COLLABORATIVES

WIN convenes three employer-led collaboratives focused on creating sustainable talent pipelines and addressing critical workforce needs across key industry sectors: the Advanced Michigan Center for Apprenticeship Innovation (AMCAI) ecosystem hub, known as MiApprenticeship.org; the Michigan Alliance for Greater Mobility Advancement (MAGMA), found at MiAutomobility.org; and the Health Career Alliance (HCA), supporting workforce development in healthcare.

GEOGRAPHY

The WIN population and scope of services primarily cover a 19-county region in Southeast Michigan, including Clinton, Eaton, Genesee, Hillsdale, Huron, Ingham, Jackson, Lapeer, Lenawee, Livingston, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, Saint Clair, Sanilac, Shiawassee, Tuscola, Washtenaw, and Wayne Counties, as well as the City of Detroit. This region represents 63% of Michigan’s labor market, reflecting WIN’s extensive reach and impact. In addition, many of WIN’s employer-led collaboratives operate statewide and engage with multi-state workforce systems, extending the organization’s influence beyond regional boundaries.

INITIATIVES

By securing regional and state training funds, WIN partners with over 1,400+ employers, community-based organizations, and government agencies to support and grow the Michigan workforce.
