Because of the diversity of its service areas, WCCCD places a strong emphasis on occupational and career programs, and traditional college and university transfer programs, including those within the liberal arts discipline. GLENDA WAPEGAN-MAGARRELL, DISTRICT DEAN OF CAREER PROGRAM

Glenda Wapegan-Magarrell headshotGlenda Wapegan-Magarrell serves as the District Dean of Career Programs at Wayne County Community College District and is a dedicated member of the WIN Board, representing the college chancellor. With over a decade of experience in workforce development, Glenda brings a wealth of expertise to her role.

She formerly served as the Chief of Staff at RTC Workforce Development in Detroit, Michigan, Glenda was instrumental in driving strategic initiatives and ensuring the efficient operation of programs. Prior to this, she held the position of One Stop Operations Director at SER Metro-Detroit, where she played a key role in overseeing operations and maximizing the impact of workforce development initiatives.

Glenda holds a Master of Public Administration (M.P.A.) degree from Central Michigan University, where she graduated with distinction. Her academic achievements reflect her commitment to excellence and her dedication to the field of public administration.

With a strong background in program management and project management, Glenda is well-equipped to contribute to the success of the WIN Board. Endorsed by colleagues for her exemplary leadership and strategic vision, Glenda is poised to make significant contributions to workforce development initiatives in the community.
