
Amanda Bauerschmidt is a Workforce Project Manager at the Workforce Intelligence Network (WIN). She currently oversees the WIN Intermediary Apprenticeship Program and is the Team Lead for the Advance Michigan Center for Apprenticeship Innovation (AMCAI). Amanda most recently managed the Department of Labor’s federal initiative, the Closing the Skills Gap grant. She also currently works on the Apprenticeship Building America grant and provides administrative support to the Michigan Alliance for Greater Mobility Advancement (MAGMA).
Previously, Amanda worked on WIN’s state initiative, MI Bright Future, which facilitated collaboration between students, educators, and employers to introduce young job seekers to the region’s growing occupations through an easy-to-use online platform.
Amanda has been working in career and workforce development for over 10 years. She spent three years at Saginaw Valley State University’s Career Services office, assisting with their Internship Program and writing over 3,000 resumes, cover letters, and other professional documents. After graduation, Amanda worked as a Career Development Specialist with Goodwill Industries of Mid-Michigan, where she helped individuals with disabilities, criminal backgrounds, and other barriers to employment achieve independence and self-sufficiency through work-based learning experiences, assessment, and training.
Throughout her career, Amanda has been dedicated to working in the workforce development sector in a non-profit setting, which she has a strong passion for.
Amanda grew up in Michigan on the border of Ohio and attended Saginaw Valley State University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology. She currently resides in her hometown, where she enjoys traveling frequently, reading, studying Spanish, and working out.
