Laurie is a Workforce Project Manager at Workforce Intelligence Network (WIN). Her primary assignment was the State of Michigan initiative – Michigan Electric Vehicle Jobs Academy (EV Jobs Academy). She supports the Apprenticeship Building America (ABA) and MiREACH programs.

Laurie brings more than twenty years of leadership and project management experience working in both community based and post-secondary institutions. She worked in facilities, student services including serving as the inaugural Director of Admissions at Oakland Community College (OCC).  Laurie also served as Interim Associate Dean of Student Services at one of the five campus locations.

Laurie has served on several Michigan community college organizational boards and committees including treasurer for the Executive Board of the Michigan Association of College Registrar’s & Admissions Officers (MACRAO), conference committees, and the Michigan Community College Athletic Association (MCCAA) Board.

Laurie is a proud alumnus of the University of Wisconsin-Lacrosse where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree. She continued her education at Purdue University completing a Master in Recreation & Leisure Studies and began working with the YMCA.  After a decade with the YMCA in Indiana and Ohio, her family relocated to Michigan where she completed her MBA at Ferris State University while working at OCC.

In her down time, Laurie pursues additional learning opportunities including the recent completion of the Certified Career Services Professional (CCSP) credential through the NCDA and is currently working on her Registered Parliamentarian certification. She also enjoys her service on several genealogical organization boards and committees including the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). Family is a priority for Laurie and is sure to visit her home state of Montana whenever possible!
