Haley Porter serves as an Associate Project Manager and Research Analyst for the Workforce Intelligence Network (WIN) focusing on data projects and the One Workforce Industry Infinity initiative.
With a passion to help people and animals, Haley has various nonprofit management and programming experiences. She has previously worked as a Community Impact Specialist at United Way Montcalm-Ionia Counties bringing businesses, government, and nonprofits together to help the community, the YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids Ionia Lead Membership Specialist focusing on customer service and development in Ionia, and Michigan State University Extension’s 4-H Program leading the program in Ionia County. Haley has gained specialized experience in working with all sectors to create the greatest community impact.
Her education includes a Master of Public Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Public and Nonprofit Administration, both from Grand Valley State University.
In her free time, she is the volunteer Executive Director of Hope’s 2nd Chance Animal Sanctuary which she founded in 2020 and provides a free, temporary, shelter for pets of domestic violence survivors so they can leave their abuser, without leaving their beloved animals. She also enjoys playing with her dogs, cats, rabbit, goats, and miniature horse, and spending time with her son.
