Utilizing a pioneering approach to monitor the health of the labor market, this data reveals who is hiring and what job opportunities are available in the region. Here are some key highlights from the reports:
- The WIN Region has seen an impressive addition of over 45,000 individuals to the labor force and 33,352 workers to employment between 2023 and 2024.
- Unemployment in Q2 2024 stood at 4.1%, nearly matching the pre-pandemic rate of 4.2%.
- The region averaged 17,576 job postings per month in Q2 2024, a decrease from 19,645 in Q1 2024, though still higher than the peak of 27,120 postings recorded in Q2 2023.
- All 11 occupation groups analyzed by WIN demonstrated positive growth.
- Agriculture and Construction-related occupations experienced the fastest growth, with a 1.9% increase in the workforce for 2024.
- Transportation, Distribution, and Logistics (TDL) occupations noted the largest net increase, with over 6,200 hires.
